Most magnesium upsets your stomach. Not this one.

FUELS & RELAXES
Magnesium drives energy production in every cell, and it's what lets tight muscles finally let go.
SUPPORTS YOUR HEART
Magnesium relaxes the muscle in your blood vessel walls, which is how it helps you maintain healthy blood pressure.
SUPPORTS BLOOD SUGAR
Insulin is the signal that tells your cells to take in glucose. Magnesium is part of how that signal lands.

Why the form matters.

You don't absorb magnesium just because you swallowed it. Oxide dissolves poorly, so much of the dose is never absorbed at all. What's left stays in your intestine and pulls water in behind it. That's where the diarrhea comes from.

Gentle on the stomach.

Bisglycinate is magnesium bound to glycine, an amino acid. Put head to head against oxide in a double-blind trial, it was the better tolerated of the two. That's the whole reason it's the form used here.

Most adults are running low.

Nearly half of Americans take in less magnesium than they need. Heavy drinking, gut conditions, some prescription medications, and a diet light on greens, nuts and whole grains all pull it lower.

Who it's for

This is for you if you:

Want steady energy and muscles that actually relax
Want to support healthy blood pressure and blood sugar
Have had loose stools from magnesium oxide
Take a long-term PPI or diuretic, which lower magnesium

How to take it

Mix one scoop (5.7g) into water or the beverage of your choice, once a day. One scoop gives you 300mg of magnesium, 71% of a day's value. Or take it as your practitioner has directed.

Good to know

It has a light, natural strawberry-lemonade taste and mixes in cleanly, so it blends easily into water, sparkling water, or a smoothie. There's no gluten, corn, yeast, artificial colors, or artificial flavors in it.

Before you start

If you're pregnant, nursing, have kidney problems, or take prescription medication, check with your physician first. Magnesium can interfere with some antibiotics and osteoporosis drugs, so take those a few hours apart.

Bisglycinate is the gentler form, and that's why it's the one used here. But any magnesium can loosen stools in some people. If it does, drop to a smaller amount or talk to your provider.
Most drugstore magnesium is oxide, which dissolves poorly and often isn't well absorbed. This one uses magnesium bisglycinate chelate, the form research has found better tolerated, with less laxative effect. Same mineral, different form.
Possibly. Nearly half of Americans take in less magnesium than they need. Green leafy vegetables, legumes, nuts, seeds and whole grains are the main food sources, and refined grains lose most of it in processing.
A light, natural strawberry-lemonade. It mixes in cleanly, so water, sparkling water, or a smoothie all work.
One scoop covers 71% of the daily value for magnesium. That sits below the 350mg upper limit set for supplemental magnesium in adults, so it's a real dose with room to spare.
Check with your physician first if you're pregnant, nursing, have kidney problems, or take prescription medication. Magnesium can get in the way of some antibiotics and osteoporosis drugs, though taking them a few hours apart usually handles it.

I work for Indigo Health Clinic as COO, and Indigo Formulations is our product line. I personally use and reorder Magnesium Powder to meet my magnesium needs.
I’m so happy it’s a powder and not more pills. It has a pleasant, natural strawberry taste, isn’t gritty, and makes extra hydration easy since it tastes so good.

I can't imagine a day without this powder. I take it in the morning mixed into a small amount of orange juice and water. It's part of my supplement regime and I'm grateful to my naturopath for proscribing this.
